Downloading Tech Army's Remote Support App for Windows

These are the instructions to download the Tech Army quick support remote application on your Windows Computer.



 

Open the web browser of your choice.  For the purposes of this document, we are using FireFox.


Un the address bar at the top of your browser, enter techarmy.ca and press enter.


The address bar is indicated to the right here with a green circle

 

On the top right hand side you should see HELP.  Click on HELP


NOTE:  If the browser window is too small, you will see a hamburger sign on the top left side of the window ..



Click on this and then select HELP.

 

The download will automatically start.  If you are on Firefox, you will see a the download starting (see green circle to the right here) and will show up at the top of the window.


If you are using Chrome then the download will be displayed at the Bottom of the window.


Once completed, click on the TeamViewerQS application that was downloaded.



 

 

You may be prompted to see if you want to allow the app to make changes to your computer.  To proceed, you must click on YES.


 


TeamViewer will ask for you to Accept the EULA and DPA.  To proceed you must put a check mark and then click on Continue

 

For the final step, the software will connect to the servers and get a session code.  Your session code will be unique for your machine.  (this is indicated in item #1)


Make sure you put your name in the item marked as #2


The dot at item #3 should be green showing a good internet connection.


The technician will then be able to see your machine waiting for a connection to come in.


When the technician connects, you will get a prompt with their name requesting permission to connect.


To continue you must click on ALLOW.
